A host site takes orders, collects the money and then on distribution day will sort the food into individual $30 boxes for the consumers to pick up.
For each $30 unit sold, the host site recieves a $1 donation from Angelfood Ministries. Each month there are special meat boxes offered at an additional price anywhere between $18 to $20. There will be a $0.25 donation on the special boxes. Our menu varies month to month and is usually seasonally oriented (ie. ribs for grilling in the summer, ham for Christmas).
The first step in becoming a host site is to complete and return your Host Site Application and enclose an application fee of $50 payable to Angelfood Ministries. Upon receipt, Angelfood Ministries will review the application and advice of approval. (If for some reason your aplication is not approved, your check will be returned immediately.) The $50 charge will allow us to send you a "Start Up Kit", contianing a training video, a six-foot vinyl banner that reads "Angelfood", receipt books, food stamp vouchers with instructions, and other pertinent information. You will be able to start taking orders once you have received this kit. Please take a few moments to review the material enclosed. It will give you a general overview of the program.
